@AndyS as a kid 50 years ago I used to get a bus to school on the Isle of Dogs. I caught the bus at Mile End and used to look across at the narrow park which is now the parkrun course. I've been back and done the parkrun twice, just for a trip down memory lane. If only parkrun had been around back then. Good luck!

Dibble
My memory lane course is Prospect. My 15 year old self doing school cross country would never have believed I would be running around the same park voluntarily half a century later. Perhaps if there had been parkrun then, I would now be going for my 2,000 T-shirt!

Beeston parkrun is on, wish us luck and not too many people.

To quote our RD
"Early course check done ✔️

Rugby path is muddy, filthy, slurpy, muddy, pot- holey and a bit yucky and did I mention mud? Run single file and go euuurgh
Rest of course is lovely but we have uneven bits and debris and driftwood in the start area.

And no toilets.

But apart from
That? Yaaaahhhhhh let’s light up the Weir Field and parkrun."

Marshalled at my home run today. I love shouting encouragement at people, some of whom looked happier than others.

Ran my home parkrun for the 250th time today. Also volunteered there, (as volunteer co-ordinator), for the 300th time.
