Yes, I’m also thinking gold would be too similar to apricot. Yellow is a possibility, or some sort of light green maybe? IIRC aubergine was one of the options for the original 25 vol shirt but maybe that’s too close to the purple.

As for different courses, three official at Livingston, two at Pollock, two at Tollcross. Strathclyde has been amended, but I'm not sure one could really say it's outright different.
Weather amended courses at Pollok and Falkirk and very amended at Strathclyde.
Dunfermline in reverse and Strathclyde starting at the far end. I don't think either would be allowed now.
The start and/or finish have also wandered about for several courses.

I've got the opposite - I've done the same course under two different names. Harrogate had a trial event that was run as a "bespoke parkrun" and it shows up as a proper event under that name. I've also done it properly.

Technically Edinburgh has two courses. The one that was c80m short and the current which is c20m long. Start essentially 100m back from where it used to be

Not doing one tomorrow. I'm staying quite close to one but don't want to alert my friend, who follows my parkrun progress, to the fact that I'm just a few miles away and the inevitable 'why didn't you let us know' stuff. It's hard being antisocial at times!

My vote for the new colours is:
1,000 Bronze 2,500 Silver 5,000 Gold
I worry that is they go for Gold at 1,000 there wont be anything to motivate me to keep running for the next 76 years.
I ran my 25th parkrun (before it was a milestone) on my 31st Birthday, and my 250th on my 37th, and I'm hoping to complete that sequence with 2,500 in 2072

So it was yellow for the 1000 volunteer shirt. Looks the same bright colour as my Contra long sleeve one, which is fine. Only 8 more years for me, but I made some progress by going to Rickmansworth today. It was lovely, bright sunshine for 3 laps of a lake. Not the usual course due to flooding.

Rickmansworth is lovely. We SUP on that lake in the summer.

I was volunteering at East Park parkrun this morning, where I was spotted by a couple of Fetchies (probably helped by the fact I was wearing a Fetch hoodie), just has the run was started we were treated to a lot of rain, snow, hail and rain and I was freezing cold (probably not helped by the fact I was wearing a Fetch hoodie, instead of my usual robe - but it was lovely, sunny and warm when I left my house at 7). Despite the cold weather there was a certain warm satisfaction inside today from a job well done, or possibly from my second mug of coffee in the cafe afterwards.
