Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Was planning a trip south next weekend towards the Lake District then realised it was Easter. Gonnae switch coasts now; Carlisle Park Parkrun looks decent.

Anyone been?

Ally-C I did Carlisle parkrun back in 2019, I remember it was a nice one. Much like Stonehaven as it's 3 laps on varied terrain.

When we went it was their summer course which is 3 laps on a mix of tarmac and grass. Rather more convoluted than the winter course which was on their webpage, with a few tight turns and steady climbs. Friendly group, as are most parkruns. Don't recall toilets or a cafe (think it was closed). Short bus ride from town, but the bus was running rather late and we missed the briefing.

I’m not sure that comparison is a good thing or a bad thing V. 😆

I’ve ran it three times and volunteered there once. It’s hard but not a Faskally, Queen’s or Drumchapel.

I honestly liked Queens and didn’t mind Faskally but I do think Stoney is harder.
