Thanks Doc, but it was all last minute really. I am sure we will meet up one day. Have you seen the new parkrun in Abbotts Langley (near Hemel). I am sure I’ll be over for that in a bit.

Really enjoyed Eastville parkrun and the community café afterwards. Got chatting to two different locals who were very friendly. Saw two herons beside the pond 😊

Where is that mrs s? Just stalked your log - Bristol way? I'm hoping to tour about a bit more with parkruns. It's such a fab thing to be able to do, to go to new places, run with new people, but all friendly with that parkrun ethos. It's like being in a giant, country-wide, world-wide club! ![]() |

Timekeeper at local parkun today. They always seem to struggle for volunteers right up to Fri night. Just not a big enough group of committed volunteers signed up in advance. Don't know how they change that? Of course, I'm part of the problem. Happy to volunteer when needed but don't like to commit for weeks in advance. Silly really. Would help everyone. Anyhoo. Lovely run on my own after our happy 91 finishers were all done. ![]() |

I was also timekeeper today and it’s a regular thing to call out for volunteers as they are short with a plea in the briefing every week seemingly falling on deaf ears as It is the same faces you see volunteering regularly.

Watergrove was slippery and wet. But I would do it again.

Great pic Mr and Mrs J. Nice to do an inaugural event Velociraptor We attended a second event today Lordship Rec in Tottenham. Nice venue and event. Old haunts for other half as he was raised there and for me who worked in the area once upon a time. |

This Saturday we have Joe Wicks and BBC Children in Need visiting Maidenhead parkrun as part of the Walk With Joe initiative. It will still be parkrun, but not as we know it! It's involved a lot of pre-planning and it's not every week we can say we have received over 50 requests to volunteer a month before an event! If you are visiting please arrive early. Things will kick off at 8:30 (although the parkrun itself will still start at 9:00). We are expecting a big turnout so locals have been asked to walk or cycle if they can. We have been requesting those travelling from further away to arrive by public transport, although we know that the train strike makes that difficult. As the course may be crowded we are saying that if the PB you want to see this week is Pudsey Bear we welcome you, but if the PB you want to see is your Personal Best you may be better off visiting us another week. |
