Thanks AndyS - that's helpful. I shall look forward to the puddle

I think that puddle can take some of the credit for my PB! As I approached it, some of the runners ahead of me were trying to go around it ... by heading off into the mud!(??). I stayed on course and ploughed on through - which gained me a few track positions and some clear road ahead. I then managed to misjudge my final sprint. I soon realised I'd gone about 500m too early, but just tried to hang on to the line.

Happy days :)

Yes it is chunky wiz, but I don’t do many park runs! I did manage my 25 volunteer t shirt but like this Saturday I’ll be running a marathon. I’ve run more marathons than I’ve run patkruns 😱

I feel like I haven't touristed much at all recently. Maybe thinking of the expense of travelling and keeping car use to a minimum while the economy tanks, BUT we do have a great excuse coming up to do Eastville in Bristol as we will be visiting our son. I think it may not be completely flat but didn't get a good idea of what it would be from our one picnic there when we took our son up to uni.
