First one in 4 weeks today. Deliberately ran naked, I knew I wasn't going to get a good time so I just concentrated on getting round. Actually enjoyed starting slowly and working my way through. All done now and happy |

Just seen the results. I did notice a young woman who appeared to be going very fast when she went past us. Turns out she smashed the women's PB and finished in 16:15. Her name is Atsede Gidey, one to look out for!

I did some touristing at Church Mead this morning. It reminded me a bit of Henley. Quite small numbers, quite narrow, hilly, muddy, very nice I suspect it will be interesting in winter!

Was puzzled by my time as I crossed the finish line at Cranbrook (visiting sis) as I tend to record pace on my garmin, until I noticed I ran 5.11km. That's probably the longest one I have done. Still, I need the exercise

I was timekeeper at Woodgreen Junior parkrun this morning. It really is a joy to see how much fun these youngsters have at this event. The look of bewilderment on the faces of the very young ones who are unsure of which direction they ought to go, and delight when they cross the finish line, often clutching their favourite soft toy. |

Did Falkirk on Saturday whilst up in Scotland supporting a mate running the G2E Ultra. Predicted 28:00 for Dr K cup but course was long so 5K time was 27:42 but parkrun time was 28:04. I am a parkrun tourist so it got me thinking about a new approach to visiting different parkruns. If I read the reviews first and then predict a time during the week then the run can be much more enjoyable as I don't need to go all out but rather try for the predicted time as recorded by parkrun. Anybody else do this? |

I don't predict a time per se, but if I know the course will be hilly definitely run within myself to make sure I don't die I did Church Mead on Saturday which is a 2-lapper will a bit hill and took the first lap 'easy' so I felt ok.
