Fragile Do Not Bend
Thanks CW. I had an amusing moment when someone came up to me querying why they had token 900 when there were nothing like that many people there. It was 0060 upside down. I can sympathise that your brain doesn’t always work properly after a hard run. |

Eynsham Red
The corner that I was marshalling this morning was so slippery because of the mud that I thought better of taking photos. Instead, I focused on shouting warnings about the hazard, and be a pair of hands to help any fallers back up. Fortunately there was only one faller, and he managed to escape with muddied hands and knees but no injury. |

Bournemouth was a mudfest this morning. I managed to get round in my road shoes but wished I had taken my trails.

As it was our fourth birthday at Witney there was a fancy dress theme. One lady ran dressed in a wetsuit and wellies. She was probably the most appropriately dressed for the conditions.

No.12
I miss a week next week as I am now going to be in Iceland. So my 300 will wait. Idly wondering why parkrun stopped in iceland (elliðaárdalur parkrun) i did a search which pulled up 3rd Nov 2011 parkrun newsletter, reporting on the start of parkrun in that country. There was also an "In Memoriam" article commemorating Jimmy Savile in the same newsletter (hindsight etc). From what I gather elliðaárdalur parkrun stopped due to winter weather difficulties or something similar. |

57.5 Days of Pain
My memory of it is as you say, difficulty sustaining the event in what were (at the time) unprecedented parkrun winter conditions. We paid attention as Inverness was the most northerly event both pre and post Iceland. My co-ED was very proud of this fact! |

57.5 Days of Pain
I had a post parkrun café visit for the first time since the pause. Sadly I forgot to get a picture of my ludicrous strawberry and cream doughnut concoction for Gobi.
