Some of you may have seen that parkrun have forced the 5k app to remove all their detailed stats including age cat records. This has been done immediately so they have already gone. Inevitable I guess but a sad day...

That really is a shame @OO61 I can honestly say it had rejuvenated my parkrun enthusiasm after you told us about the app.

@Canute we all train at different levels and for different reasons and I think this is a totally inclusive thread for anyone trying to improve their fitness. I hope you continue to improve and are able to fully return to that which you love.

Wow. Really are a touch sensitive about the issue. Their rationale this time being ...? Perhaps the stats in the app (which few even knew were there) were putting swathes of people off joining parkrun?

Well done on what you have achieved @Canute. How long does stage 2 take, and how far does it take you.

@Solo what @Canute and @alehouse have said makes. Sounds like you have it pretty much sussed.

@OO61 , I'm sure someone will come up with a devious plan to get the parkrun records back and thwart parkrun HQ again!

Aqua jog d&d; 12 x 40 seconds quite hard with 20 seconds recovery. Can't get the HR much over 100 even though I worked hard.

Wordle in four.

@alehouse that sounds like a good session.

@NZD In the first part of stage 2 I aim to increases duration of jog segments to 5 minutes, while keeping total jog duration at 40 min. I anticipate I will achieve thsi after 6 sessions (on alternate days - I walk on the fells in the intervening days. I have also been doing upper body strength sessions but today started lower body strength sessions again as I consider that I rebuilding strength will help protect my knees.

Solo Good luck for Sunday hope legs and tum work in harmony.

Canute You seemed fully focused and reaping the rewards.

No running yesterday as not sleeping and too exhausted.

PT today and planned a run but too tired so a 2 mile walk and a 2 hour sleep.
