Welcome @AndyS

Thanks @Welshpoppy This not sleeping is not good 🙁 Glad you managed your PT though.

An easy 8 in cooler conditions after some rain and Wordle in four too.

Great to see you here @AndyS. I see you are planning on Mile End parkrun the next two weekends. I did that back in Jan last year. Mid-winter, 6 days after a tough HM wasn't ideal timing though!

Moderate 49 min / 8.3 km this morning (HR 124/145). Felt a bit more sluggish than Monday but otherwise OK.

Thanks all!

@NZD - I'm pretty much part of the furniture at Mile End (having run there 317 times to date!). I also do course check & setup there most weekends (almost certainly including the week you joined us :) )

Oops. Another senior moment ☚ī¸. Mile End was Jan this year (2024 Jan 20 to be precise)! Seems ages ago. Still mid-winter & 6 days after that HM. Legs did not like it, especially those overpasses!

Impressive tally of parkruns and volunteering at Mile End @AndyS.

Yup, Andy, I see you were there that day!

The thing that struck me most was the huge number (& proportion) of First Timers there. Something like 138/472 were First Timers. Being close to central London I guess you get lots of visitors (like me!).

What a busy thread!

Glad to read that @Canute continues to make progress. I really hope you can get back to the fell running/jogging you love.

Despite not troubling any of the age group records, in dad that so many stats have been removed from the parkrun records, and now the 5k app, as I found then interesting and motivating.

Talking of motivation, I haven't got much currently, partly as I don't like running on my own and my normal running buddies seem to be suffering various injuries, ailments and other commitments. Plan to go to club training tonight though - last one in the first before they return to winter road running, which I don't do, as it aggravates my knee.

That should have read "I'm sad that so many stats have been removed"
