Possibly someone at parkrun may be interested in occasional training runs?

@alehouse hope that was only a mental collapse and not your hamstring collapsing on you Very good progress in the running stakes @Rosehip and @PeterFay - I was beginning to worry about the zimmer frame users catching me up so alone is definitely preferable. Good spell that Rosehip - you won't need that break shortly & time isn't important just now Did a 2 hour session this afternoon - work not run - and fell asleep over my laptop. Woke to a screen filled with nnnnnnnnnnn s Wordle in three |

I am another slow runner too slow for my running club. I rather run on my own. No run today my lips and nails turned blue and I was cold and not feeling the love. Wordle in Three. |

@Torque Steer: Parkrun! Though probably not the smartest idea!

@Rosehip 2x30 minutes is very substantial progress. @alehouse it is encouraging to hear that your hamstring apparently coped with 1 Km run followed by 2x0.5 Km runs. This week I have continued with multiple repetitions of 4min jog/ 1 min walk. Next week I will increase the jog segments to 6 minutes. I am chafing at the bit to extend the duration of jogging. However, while I think my knee could probably cope with longer jog segments, I think there is more to be gained by building up the resilience of connective tissues by increasing total duration of sessions before placing continuous stress on the knee. |

not a big parkrun fan to be honest, used to go and will join in a meet-up but not keen on driving just to run, especially not 5K on a Saturday morning

Good progress @alehouse. @Canute. Yes, like alehouse, slow and steady seems the best option at this point. @Torque Steer đ, yup, done that a few times with a variety of letters! Parkrun (25:11) a bit better than I feared but still a minute slower than 3 weeks ago âšī¸. Wasn't sure if I was up to a parkrun. But ultimately decided I needed a hard kick start to stand any chance of a half decent 10k time in 3 weeks. |

@Torque Steer Hoy Half Matathon used to have trophies for V75F and V75M in form of a model Zimmer frame. [Sadly Hoy Half is no more] |
