Bit late to mention it, but you can get toughened glass screen protectors off eBay for a quid or two. Mind you it would have taken something pretty bulletproof to save that by the looks of it!

Hope you're feeling a bit less battered today, Mrs Jigs, and heal quickly, and that you can the Garmin fixed - though is that perhaps a bit optimistic looking at the picture?

I would say that's a dead Garmin, sadly. Hope you are OK, must have been quite a fall.

Mrs. Jigs, if the watch casing is undamaged, then a replacement glass screen should be available. Does this mean you'll be running blind at Lode on Sunday? Assuming you have recovered well enough.

Thanks guys, Jigs has promised me a new Garmin
Flatlander, we were debating wether to still do the half as we are still in marathon recovery period, my fall has been the decider, wish we could pass our numbers on but the don’t permit transfers, are you doing it?

Mrs Jigs, I sent my damaged Garmin (it was a 305) back to them with 50 pounds in their old replacement scheme and they sent me a refurbished one back that I still use when I lose my power lead to my current Garmin.
I don't know if they still have that scheme going or not...check their website for more details.

I have done that before Garfield, trouble was the replacement only worked for a short while, couldn’t face the hassle of sending it back again so bought a new one.

ouch, it must have been an awkward fall to land on and break the screen like that.

I hated school, never went quite a lot, brought up by my mum & she was diagnosed with schizophrenia when I was 9, so we took advantage.
Too young to know better & no other positive influences, maybe that’s why I’ve never had a decent job tbf.
On another note, some amount of folk tripping recently!
