57.5 Degrees of Pain
I hope the Garmin is OK Mrs J. And yourself as well of course... ;-).
I quite liked school and was good at cramming for exams. Luckily when Maths and Physics started to get beyond me I escaped to dental school (1982 was no time to be trying to find a job) and got to do what I really wanted (sad I know!).
My 20s and early 30s had plenty of adventure, knuckled down in my later 30s, discovered running and got in some travelling in my early 40s and settled back in Scotland for a more relaxed lifestyle in the last decade.
'What a long strange trip it's been.'

I will heal but the Garmin won’t.
Thanks for the well wishes.

It’s funny where life takes us.
I was poorly every month (women’s stuff) turned out to be endometriosis and it ruined my teens 20’s, 30’s. I have had 13 quite big surgeries and at 38 finally had an op that fixed me. I did nearly die at op 11 which had big consequences not least to anxiety.
My 40’s saw me rebuild strength and finally good health which I appreciate every day. I started running 13yrs ago after accepting a challenge to get back to running and do the GNR with the challenging friend.
I have been lucky my employers have been supporting and understanding for the 20yrs I’ve worked there and seen myself promoted a few times. I obtained my legal qualifications and 4yrs ago took up a 7m secondment to the Oman which was an amazing experience Oman will always have a piece of my heart. Back home and my life is pretty good. Forever thankful.

Various trips I've had...one where I fell over, my Garmin split open like an egg and I cracked a rib (2010) and couldn't breathe quite properly for several months. Most recent badly damaging trip was in 2016, for no apparent reason, arms came out, saved the knees, but really screwed up my right shoulder for a couple of years. Had a steroid injection for it 6 months later, with limited effectiveness, then it eventually got better. I've had acupuncture treatments to improve range of movement in the shoulder, with great success.

You can never have too many tangents on one thread. For this reason I ask the following...
Any of the O50 Nuffield types tried (or have any knowledge of) SKILL Edge?

Wow that garmin is a bit broken! Hope it came off worse than you if that’s the state of it.
