She must have left STAGS about... 1982ish? She went to sixth form elsewhere, then to Uni in 1984.

I left school in 1982. But was so thick at 'A' levels started an apprenticeship in 1984. As nowhere near clever enough to go to Uni.

Ah ok. We overlapped, but not by much just a couple of years. I would have been an annoying squirt while she was a sophisticated 4th or 5th year.

It just needs someone to say "My schooldays were the happiest days of my life" and it'll confirm Stander's opinions of us all as unrealistic old farts!

(I left school (not Townsend) in '83 and married in '92) School days were definitely not the happiest days of my life. Especially the year I left Townsend and had to go to an all girls High School in Surrey!

I left (an all-boys school in a Surrey London Borough) in ‘85 and went straight to Uni (big mistake). I think that was where I first got into Memorial Device*

Can honestly say school days were not happy nothing significant but I’ve never wished I was back there... another reason i don’t feel like a real adult 😂
So we went out last night one of the bars in our town has reopened after a refurb it was a VIP invite night - so feeling special while being charged a fortune for a drink ... but it was a good night with my cousin, her husband and friends. Issue is I woke up thinking it was Friday... going to be a long day!
