NHS website re breast screening states: be invited for NHS breast screening every 3 years between the ages of 50 and 71. You'll get a letter in the post inviting you. When you'll be invited You'll automatically get your first invite for breast screening between the ages of 50 and 53. Then you'll be invited every 3 years until you turn 71. |

In theory Mrs Jigs then you should have been called at 69 y/o. Did you move house since the last one and if so, have you re-registered with a GP? The screening database is based on being registered with a GP practice. If you have been registered with a GP the whole time, then I suggest contacting your practice as your recall may have been altered by practice staff on the prior notification list. I am also unsure how Covid may have affected the screening rounds (as it may have been different to cervical) |

X-post that's good 😊 I have a suspicion that some areas may have extended recall rounds due to COVID (but that's a vague recollection). My advice to anyone who thinks they're overdue for screening is to ask their recall status. Anyone who's been a non-responder will likely have their recall date reset but there's a non-responder flag so the guidelines are to book an appointment if overdue (cervical).. |
