That looks fab. I'm off for a wee bimble round Wandlebury at dusk.

Had some time off Fetch (I know, what??!) but time to de lurk again

We spent today down on the Essex coast having a swim at Frinton and then walked to Holland for dip two

This is year two for me of all year swimming and it was lovely today to go with my fella and do a double dip

I’m still not a great swimmer and breast stroke is my thing but it has brought me so much

The thing I wanted to say is do any of you miss the winter swims yet!!

For the second summer my body loves the fact it can swim longer and also easily double dip. But I dont half miss the cold!

The current sea temp is just right for me! Cold to get in, then perfect. The unheated Lido is too cold, despite being warmer!

LindsD there is something truly unique about a winter swim. I still can’t work out if it is the positive impact of the cold or the feeling of doing something you didn’t think was possible

Lizzie Lido brrrrrrr I’ve chickened out of our local one this year so far!

Thanks FRU. Managed Oct and Jan last winter but less work for both me and swim buddy means we are determined this year.

I'm hoping to get through the winter this year. I've made it to January in the past but gave up because a 40 minute drive to the lake for a 10 minute dip didn't seem sensible. But now I just have a 5 minute walk to the sea and a group of swim buddies who do go in all year round, I have no excuses!

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
