Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Where did you go, LN? I need to go to a shop to try on and I don't think you're that far from me.

I went to Ocean Leisure which is next to Embankment tube station. They don't have all sizes in all styles though, they said it was a bit late in the season. But they were v. helpful, they'll even zip you up :-)

I'm in the Lakes for a weekend of walking with my husband and kids. Luckily for me their idea of a full day walking is never more than a few hours, so once we'd all walked around Buttermere they were quite happy to spend the next hour skimming stones in the sunshine while I got a lovely swim. The lake was so beautiful yesterday, I would have cried all the way home if I hadn't got in a swim!

Pretty cool. I made the mistake of going in without my hat at first because my lad wanted to give it a try. He only floated out a little way (the bottom drops off REALLY steeply and he was freaked out even hanging on to his tow-float). I only put my head in briefly but it was really cold without a hat. Once I got my hat on it was ok though, I guess 16ish degrees in the deep parts. It had started to cloud over by the time I got in to swim and by the end it was pretty windy too. I would love to go back and swim the full length on a clear day

That looks so beautiful, Luiz :-)

2 swims in 2 days for me - 1k of speed stuff on Saturday and 2.25k at a gentler speed this morning. Quite tired now!

Looks beautiful! Not quite the same but feel inspired to head to the lido.

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
