There was a successful Frog Graham Round completion over the weekend (the 9th). Charmian Heaton was the third lady to get round, don't know her specific time but she did it under 24 hours.

You're right, LD! I will be taking my neoprene booties and swimcap (even though it makes me look like a nutter :-)) so hopefully the cold won't be too bad. I think it was last year or the year before that I actually managed to do proper swimming on my first dip.

Finally did my first OW swim of the year
I put all my cold-water gear on but I don't think I really needed it. I think the water temp was 15 or 16 so I won't bother with the extra cap and the booties next time. Managed to properly swim after 5 mins of settling in and did 25 mins of swimming. That's a great first session for me!

Well done LN! I'm hoping that I'll get some OW swimming in when it's really too warm for a wetsuit - or I may buy myself a sleeveless shortie wetsuit so I don't have to wrestle myself into neoprene sleeves.

Yes, getting into a wetsuit was still a big struggle so it might be easier if you don't have to battle with sleeves while your elbow is still sore.

I finally got some time for a decent open water swim last night, and the biggest loop was open in the docks so I got in 3x1km before my hubby turned up to pick me up.
The water is 17 degrees now so apart from the initial shock of cold getting in (and the odd cold patch where the water must be deeper) it was really comfortable to swim in.
The downside is that the sun went in and the wind picked up as soon as I arrived so my face is sore from the combination of being cold, wet and windy for an hour. Red and blotchy is not a good look!

LindsD, is that 46 miles? I guess you do have to train properly for that sort of distance. Hope you get to swim after it's done!
That's a big swim, Luiz! I'll be aiming for one loop of our lake which is just over 1km when I'm back in the water on Sunday.
