Your training IS productive Pix! But don't believe a word Garmin says, trust yourself - you know what you've done and how much effort you put in. How long does a marathon take to recover from? Does it depend on how you ran/walked it? Has to really doesn't it!

Barbell class sounds interesting Maz. I love technique, me!
But is it a Crossfit thing? Or does barbell just mean Olympic bar and plates?

I think the standard (rubbish) answer is 1 day per mile so 26 days but nah But given its 10 days post marathon it was a brilliant session

Does sound vg. And that annual pass sounds good value too.
If I was in London all the time I would deffo get an annual pass for LeeValley - outdoor and indoor track, plus gym, plus bootcamp if I was so inclined - unlimited access for £280. £4.00 a visit for me works out cheaper at the moment though.

I thought I wanted a Garmin but not if it is going to judge me
I’ve got no further with thinking about how to get out of my funk. I can’t even come up with a plan for the weekend.

Hello all, I'm sort of still here! Good to see the rest of you are really keeping at it
I had my own little funk for the first half of the month, completely lost all motivation for everything. I managed a couple of little runs and last night made myself do a spinning, though because I faffed so much first I then didn't have time for the strength work afterwards. For the first time in a while, though, that has left me more more determined to get around to it after work today rather than compounding the feeling of uselessness and crapitude. So that's good.
I've got all of next week off and no idea, really, what to do with it. Sam might have a day or two off too, so we could do something together then like go to the seaside for the day (though I think he'd rather get on with clearing the garage up and working on the Oldsmobile resto), but the rest of the time is my own...
Tightened covid restrictions here mean that a lot of the stuff I might usually like to do isn't possible/advisable, but I'm determined not to spend the *whole* time vegetating on the sofa with my knitting. A good tidying and cleaning of my craftroom/office/indoor training space is definitely needed (possibly rearranging also, to make a good zwifting space), hopefully the feeling of accomplishment after getting that done will be significant and further increase the Mojo for actually doing the crafting and indoor training.
Apart from that I'm trying to think of a project that can be done in a few days and will bloody well stay done when I've done it (unlike laundry or mopping the floor, or tidying the craft room - the chaos always comes back!). Suggestions welcome!
(sorry, that got a bit long)

knitting is always good - stress relief and we all know how important that and recovery is

I have a 35 and it doesn't judge me and understands that I'll decide when I'll get up and move.
I also have a 735xt which does judge me but seems to be willing to modify its stance based on the information I give it over a period of time.
