Am NOT fishing. It would be nice if it was definition, but I'm not sure. I like the shoulder bit, although I don't have strong shoulders, they just look ok.

Am just back from three hours dance classes. YIKES but ballet dancers are strong. Tiny but power packed!

I never thought you were fishing for a second - that is so not your style… ballet dancers are amazingly strong. And 3 hours?!? :-O

Ballet dancers are amazing and you're harnessing some of what they've got, Sharkie :) And I don't see the tops of your arms making like mainsails.

Looking very good there, Sharkie.

I have been keeping up with my lifting plan. I am now deadlifting 7kg more than my body weight. Not so good with the overhead push press, but improving. I was quite pleased with this photo from my 10k in June; arms not looking too bad there.

Nice.
7kg above body weight is impressive. I'm stuck on my body weight (4 sets of 6 reps). It doesn't seem to be getting any easier - although I guess I could go higher if I was aiming for a 1 rep max.

I’m back to the beginning and building up slowly. I hadn’t got *that* far before - I just got to 8kg dumbbell curls and deadlifted 54kg - but down to 6kg curls and building up from 30kg deadlifts again. Bliddy hamstring.

I did find using lifting straps made a big difference. My grip is still quite poor - working on that. Also videoing myself and sending the videos to my coach has been a great help.

Shoutout to my petite 21yo daughter who has been gymming for a while (and is generally pretty fit having danced and played sport since young), but over the summer has decided to get into Olympic lifting and has had some PT sessions. Also a few weeks back she was dead lifting 95kg. If I hadn’t been to the gym I would have realised how impressive this is!

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
