Meglet
I see a lot of social media posts from people filming their workout. Also people on their phones in between sets all the time. If they want to stop people they need to ban phones.

I wasn't keen on taking my phone in, but its needed for access via the security barriers, so I don't have much choice. But I do use an app to record details of my workout now so actually I need it!

I use an app too, Meglet. I found Boostcamp which does what I want it too, mostly.

Mine is ‘FitHero’. Good enough for tracking reps and weights. I find it really useful to see what weight I used last time.

My gym is quite annoying as some machines are in lb. I started using conversion tables but now I just divide by 2 for an appropriate kg, as long as I use the same machines it’s fine

Deadlift PB, 45kg x8 (twice!). Wasn’t even going to do deadlifts today but someone jumped on the hip thrust machine just as I was heading to it. 40kg felt fairly easy. More in the tank for heavier too.

Go Meglet! I am hoping to get to 45kg next week (assuming the bar is 15kg - I wish I knew!). On 42.5kg at the moment, three sets of 8.

bunting Meglet!

I would certainly ask EP. I can't see your PT objecting if it is to help you.

💪 Meglet 🎉
I lifted 41.5kg on Monday and will add a bit more tomorrow to see if I can go heavier.

It's frustrating to not know the bar weight, SK

I have emailed the manufacturer. They have it in a brochure - as far as I can see - but just called an Olympic bar. I need numbers!

If it's a 'real' Olympic bar it will be 20kg,sally. Unless it's the women's bar - which is shorter and weighs 15kg.

I have this problem at Lee Valley with the unmarked lighter bars - I can tell the Olympic 20kg bars because they're bloody heavy and long for 5ft 3inch women (me)

It doesn't feel as heavy as the 20kg plate. I don't know about length, I can check tomorrow; if it's shorter than me it's 1.5m - they have 1.5m and 1.8m options.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
