I can imagine trying it but the amount of damage I'd probably do in the process of learning, including possible fatalities (including my own) means I'll try and resist.

Funny reading the comment and seeing one person saying it can't be good for her joints. I hope the person that replied saying they were correct and she'll pay for it later was being sarcastic, lol.

Re the discussion around when to do weights, I started doing my sessions before a morning run about a month ago. Fell ill after the first one (not related but might have been the straw that made it catch, lol). This is my Garmin stress for the following day.

I'm keeping with it though and gone back to the simple sessions that I was doing when I returned to the gym last winter so, 2 x 5 squat (plus a warm up set of 5), 2 x 5 deadlift, 6 rollouts (may progress to 10), 6 pulls (aim to progress to 10 and may do sets for that, I started at 5, the day that 5 felt relatively comfortable, I did another set of 5, then 6 last time I did them which was the session after the 2 x 5). 40-60 min easy run after. Miss Olympic lifting but dropping it is the best way to be time efficient and not burn as much energy on gym work. Maybe I'll find a way to add them back for a short period pre spring.

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
