I generally find my abs are getting a workout by bracing them for lifting. I’ve also had abs DOMS following a track session. However I do enjoy a Core workout as one of the Les Mills programs which isn’t just abs but focuses on the whole core (or trunk) ie. abs, obliques, back, glutes.

Increased my bicep dumbbells yesterday

Had been doing 10x5kg and admitted it wasn’t hard
So upped to 6kg
Noticed it more but no Doms this morning or soreness of any kind and only the last couple of the 3rd set were focused so will up again but the next up I have is 8 I think so will look at lower reps

Been very slack since pre Christmas with all exercise as not 100% hopefully back soon very soon!

I found a 2kg jump too much at that stage, EvilPixie. Make sure you can do maybe 18 x 3 at 6 kg first before such a big jump. I bought a couple of 0.5kg weights so I could increase to 7kg which is a "manageably difficult" level for me.

Don’t forget you can do bicep curls with a bar. I have a fairly short bar, ans PT sets me 10x wide grip curl, then 10x narrow grip curl - you could try with with Dumbells too I think ?

My bar is a different width so new plates wobble on it
Think it will jump even more than dumbbells

But I could use a single dumbbell I think? Need to do maths!

Nice work! I'm finding working with a new coach to be quite an eye opener, but in a good way - especially in getting my confidence back with movements I've not done for a while. Managed 3 sets of 5 squats at 100kg tonight - been a while since I've been at triple figures!
