We do have a staple gun so would probably look at using that. If you have a library of things near you it's probably the sort of thing they would have?

Looking for a bit of advice or something. I wanted to try knitting with the round needles. I found a pattern and bought the needles checking correct length. However after I cast on I seem to have a big gap from the end of the stitches to the beginning of the next row ( like the needles are too long ) and I had to constantly try and shove them all continually towards each other !!! What am I doing wrong ?

runnerbean was the pattern maybe expecting you to use the magic loop for knitting in the round. blog.tincanknits.com This is how i get around a gap or not enough stitches to fill a circular needle… i found it a bit at firsr, but now do it happily without thinking about it. Even if it wasn’t what the pattern was intending it would definitely solve your problem! |

I literally have no idea but I don’t think so. I’m left handed too so I’ve struggled to find a video to help. Maybe this is just a bit beyond me 😂😂 |

How about this one? It’s the opposite way round to how i do it (right-handed). With the magic loop method you essentially remove the extra cable, hence why i think it would solve your problem. The pattern seems relatively straightforward as far as the actual knitting is concerned, but definitely isn’t providing any advice/instructions about anything else. Ask away and i’m sure between us we can help! |
