I was given needles and wool as a joke retirement gift but I might just try and remember how to cast on and see what I come up with.

The pumpkin socks are definitely the same size as each other, using up some advent mini skeins I had, not sure why they look so different on the picture!

Those tardis socks are excellent, I'll never have time to make them before Christmas but should be able to manage it before my son's birthday in June.

So having not knitted socks for years do I

Do a basic pair to get back into the swing of it
Or
Just go for a pattern?
I do have a couple of books and about 90 balls of sock yarn 😂😂😂
I even have a book to do 2 at a time that I’ve never tried?!
Hopefully I’ll have more time now

It depends. I get bored very quickly so after one basic pair I like to do something different. If you like repetition or familiarity go for one youve done before

I like to do 2 at a time, although my current pair are waiting for me to turn the heel and have been waiting some time!
