Nickid, you can make a swatch and work out how many rows/stitches you have in x cm, then multiply up to get the desired size of blanket. It also helps you get used to knitting with the yarn so you’re more likely to start the actual blanket with even tension.
Weighing yarn is a great way to work out quantities. Weigh your ball, knit a few rows, weigh again and you’ll know how many rows per ball. Ta dah! (Or when you’re getting near the end, if you’ll have enough for another row)
