My throw is currently on pause because I need to make another pair of socks. It's definitely a long term project!!

I've just followed YYF on Instagram - thank you for the tip :)
Sock knitting has taken over my life. I was happily tootling along knitting a few rows at a time, then last night I got to the heel turn and decided to keep going and I kept going until 2:30am. I'm very tired today. I've now finished the foot and am knitting the toe. I can't wait to finish it!

*chuckles* at WL...I'm too impatient to wait to make more socks! ;) Good going GM it's truly addictive at times. Unfortunately I'm still working so don't have time to make socks, work, run, etc!

GM, as well as WYS being really good value yarn (and all one colour), I also like John Arbon Textiles Exmoor Sock yarn, and Coop Knits Socks Yeah yarn. They're both slightly more expensive than WYS, but not quite indie dyer posh stuff.

I asked a knittingrunning friend for recommendations for soft sock yarn. She likes Truly Hooked, Woolly Goodness, Giddy Aunt and Mothy & the Squid. I wanted sock weight for crocheting fingerless mittens and a lot of sock stuff is very itchy on my hands.

Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Yarn is soft, but the downside is that it wears out quite quickly when used for socks.

People give me odd looks when I say sock knitting is addictive. I feel safe here.

What are you learning on Gimme? I much prefer using two circulars.. but I find for patterned socks I have to pull out the DPNs ... it seems most are written for 4 or 5 DPNs. I’ve tried marker yarns with 2 circulars... it’s easy to forget to weave them up.
