Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If I had to bend down and pick up every stitch I’ve dropped I’d have done a set of 40 squats.

No pattern - I’m not usually overconfident but thought it would be straight forward!
I’ve done a swatch as you suggested and think now I need a tape measure ( and maybe a calculator!)

Are you doing the blanket all in one colour, Nickid? With the yarn brand being widely available it shouldn't be difficult to get more if you find you're eating it up. I'd be surprised if you got a blanket big enough to cover a double bed out of 1200g of chunky

Yes - it’s cream. Glad to hear it’s easy to get hold of
If I measure the width based on my swatch I’ll order more (and plan better next time!)

You are funny, Beanie :)

I'm using Addi Sock Wonder small circulars. It was fine but the toe was fiddly. I need to find an easier way of doing that part. I really found the Kitchener cast off hard because of not being able to grip properly with my right hand. The stitches kept sliding off the needle. But I got it done.

It's a diamond pattern but hard to see because of the unicorn massacre. It's also harder to see from this angle - clearer when looking at it from the front. When I got close to the end, I realised that I'd followed the pattern diagram from the top down, but row #1 was at the bottom, so I've knitted it upside down 🤦‍♀️. What good job it wasn't a house or a bird or a thing, instead of a pattern.

Thank for the wool recommendations. I used Coop sock Yeah! when I did a sock tutorial last September and really enjoyed knitting with it.

It looks like I'll have loads of this will left. I bought 100g and split it into 2 balls, one for each foot but I think I'll get the 2nd sock out of the same ball as this one. That means I can make another pair :)
