Your welcome, I'd say it's always worth keeping an eye on lv's recruitment site.

Hi MeLAR. I was made redundant on 27th November. There are more jobs out there now than before Christmas. I had my first interview last week and it went well but they are seeing 4 others before making any decisions, then there will be a second interview if they still like me.

I hope you find something soon, I got statutory redundancy so have enough to pay the bills for a little longer but need something soon.

I went and applied for JSA last autumn, as I lost a 12 hour a week regular free lance job and was back to very little earnings a week. When I last enquired, when I was made redundant February 2014, you could work for up to 16 hours a week and still be eligible for the £73 a week. Alas, this no longer applies, so with my three yoga teaching jobs totalling £100 a week, I won't get anything.

Also, the guy at the job centre said he would have to force me to take a shlef stacking job in Gloucester, 1.5 hours drive a way, twice a week for 4 hours each time... The driving and cost of driving there for me is higher than what I'd actually earn :-o :-o :-o

I feel cheeted on, as I have paid my taxes for the last 20 years, but whenever I think I am entitled to something (dental treatment, JSA, a pension) I am told I am not eligible...

Oh and the nights I had to work were yoga teaching nights as well. I don't know, but the system is really silly. Rather than motivating and supporting people to work, and build up a free lance practice, they discourage you from working at all...

An agent phoned me today about a job and I have an interview tomorrow. The same agent phoned me in October about the same job. I didn't hear anything more that time. Perhaps they're struggling to fill the post. There may be hope!
