Hi Hanneke. It's typical that all the bills always come at the wrong time isn't it. I'm having to spend some of my redundancy money on getting my car fixed when I really need to be keeping it for paying regular bills like my mortgage. I hope you find some work to keep you going soon. Good luck.

Yeah, it is hard balancing it all out, isn't it? I have a bit of savings squirelled away, but that is there in case my very old car with extremely high mileage, think 6 figures starting with a 2, gives up the ghost. MOT coming up in February, fingers crossed...

I'm living off redundancy money too at the moment. I've probably got enough to last until next May/June time. But I'd rather have a job and spend the money on a new motorbike!

Sounds like you got a good payout Nick. My company was in administration so I just got statutory, claimed through the government, same with notice pay.

I only got statutory too... but I had worked for 19 years, so I got the maximum, which was helpful. Still wouldn't buy me a motorbike mind you!
