Yes some of the set ups were quite amusing, missed the Travelodge I've though 🤣 Interesting Versa event, high rate for the first few minutes! |

One of the girls went for it for that first minute and got the top "distance in a minute" score, then just rolled through the other 19 minutes and came last on the consistency side of things. Most of the others were trying to score well on both and some of them will have cost themselves points by being bottom half on both.

Yes I imagine going for it on the r37 would be hard to recover from and it would feel like a long 20 minutes 😬 hopefully catch up with some more of it later

I found the Versa event much more entertaining than the 2k races. They were great for seeing the incredible performances, and there really were some incredible performances, but unless you have someone you’re following and cheering for they’re pretty much the same thing. The Versa was a whole thing on its own.

Ooh if I'd known about your mates I'd have been watching out and cheering for them Jef.

Well I had a go at strapless and it did seem easier this time after watching that vid. I got to 2k+30 to 40 for a couple of hundred metres during the warmup. Then into the straps for 10,000m at UT1, trying to remember the technique tips. I do need the straps at the end of the drive although I don't pull on them very hard. Might be worth persevering with, not to do entire workouts strapless but as a technique refresh.

You're welcome Gordon, hope the videos help a little! Well done Muttley, yeah any workouts with pace I think you want to be strapped in, probably low rate power strokes too, but good to experiment strapless on warmups etc I tend to go strapless on 2k +20 or slower. |
