I did that pyramid session today SK, it's a hard workout but I liked it.

Thanks chaps. 425k total but challenge was for 401k in 28 days. Certainly hard work especially trying to squeeze it in around daily life. Average 14k a day, just over an hour. Not used to that. Week 2 was hard, very tired. I also gave blood during the final week so had a couple of ‘easy’ 10k days towards the end. I will not be doing that again in a hurry. Anyway, week 1 of C25K running completed this week with no adverse effects as yet. |

Morning all. I doff my cap to sinj ... I'm pleased to top 1m metres in a season so 400k in four weeks is impressive. Well done that man. Have we been told of rowalong.com before now? Couple of training plans, every workout has a YouTube video of it being done in real time, free of charge, and sounds like he's UK-based. |

Long row this morning totalling 23.5km in 403020/10 minute descending steps again. Bloody freezing in the shed. I opened the windows to keep the humidity down a bit and realised part-way through the first piece that the wind was blowing the wrong way and I was getting snowed on indoors!

I gave up today because I was too warm! Was pushed for time and usually open the door to cool the bedroom for at least 15 mins first. Looking at ranked workouts yesterday I was puzzled that not all of my rankable distances have the Rank button on the C2 logbook. |

Muttley, yes I think he's a Scottish lightweight rower, seems very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping others, his Rowalong website used to be called PDP (Push don't pull) and I believe he also runs the indoorrowinginfo.com website, he seems a likeable chap! Well done Nellers, I reckon you'll find yourself in good HM shape after a few weeks of these sessions! It was bitterly cold today, I've rowed outdoors all winter but moved into the lounge today (I made sure the heating wasn't put on this morning) I did a 4 x 5k (2 min rests) rate ladder of r22,24,26,28, I did the same session last May and found today was slightly quicker and av HR was 8 beats lower, so I think my 3 months of enforced aerobic training has been beneficial. That's strange SK, all my rankable distances have the Tank button beside them. |

Every once in a while I step back and resume with the Beginners PP. In week 3 now and appreciating the gradual ramping up. His plans drawn on the PP (as he makes clear) but seem to have a bit more variety with things like stroke ladders. Have bookmarked for future reference. But there's one workout that does puzzle me: week 3 sesh 1 on the 2k plan is 30 minutes at UT2 pace but 26 spm. Maybe I haven't spotted his explanation, but I can't see what that achieves. On the other hand, he turns in sub-7 2ks ... |

Hello oarsfolk. I’ve put my name on the concept 2 wait list. It is about a 15 week wait and would come directly from the manufacturer. No commitment at this stage so will see if I still want to do some rowing in May/June...
