Cheers CB has found the channel we'll subscribe to it. Very interesting video I always get told its mostly about the legs but always find myself wanting to really pull. I will work on those drills for a bit I think.

The theoretical ideal is something like 60% legs 30% back/body 10% arms. One tip is that your arms and legs should never both be bent at the same time, so you don't start any arm pull until you've fully driven with your legs.

Welcome, EB!

Nellers - that's a useful tip about never having arms and legs bent at the same time. Another thing to add to my checklist!

Welcome EB! Also some good technique videos on the Concept 2 website. It's fairly straightforward but there are some traps to avoid, such bending the arms and overreaching at the catch.

I find that I can only concentrate on so many things at once -- hr and spm are good but pace has drifted .... sort the pace, spm is good, now hr is drifting ... and so on in sequence with some arm straightening thrown in for good measure.

Anyhoo -- 5 x 1500 metres this morning, based on the Pete Plan workout but rest period of about half effort time instead of equal to effort time. Otherwise it'd take me all day!

Well done everyone.

Just finished my warmdown after a threshold session of 2 x 10 minutes @ r26. Was hat was tougher than I expected. Nearly reintroduced my lunch to the world after the finish!

Still, itโ€™s done and ticked off and we go again tomorrow.

Nellers, the trick is to do these eyeballs out sessions BEFORE lunch ... pffft, rookie error :-)

LOL Muttley! It was a few hours after lunch. I thought it was safe.

Also it wasn't eyeballs out! This was r26. Some of the sessions in a few weeks are r28 and r30, with a few that are free rate to add a bit of spice!

It wasn't the extreme pace. It was holding that pace for 10 minutes!

So r26 is a workout? Are these available on the rower of do you download them to the app or something. (sorry not used app or rower yet had gym yesterday snd today)

Actually a quick Google suggests the r might be for stroke rate??
