Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hate to say it Lesley but it looks like you're just incredibly talented to hit that infinity pace. I got nowhere near it tonight.

Both the warm up and the main session tonight came through with the right metres and paces for me.

Weird though. There must be a way to do some sort of reset on your monitor or a software update or something to clear the problem (unless you like being superhuman. ;-))

It doesn't happen every row and it's only on starva my logbook is correct. The computer on the rower has crashed a few times recently, mid row, its annoying but that's maybe what it could be. 🤔

Well done on the 5K PB, Lesley. :-)

Muttley – you're spot on about rowing loosening up tight legs! I woke up feeling really battered yesterday after a couple of hard running sessions combined with way too many hours at my desk. 30 minutes on the erg later, it was a whole different story. Can't believe I've never experienced that before!

2km benchmark test done just now to help judge progress over the coming weeks. 7:10.4 so ave 1:47.6 pace BUT was consciously being a little conservative with pacing having not done a 2k since March and I finished with a 1:42.3 last 500 split.

I think it’s safe to say that there’s more in the tank. Please with that.

And a pre-Breakfast PB this morning. Did another 30r20 as my UT1 session this morning and rowed 7301m, which is an extra 25m from the last time. Also very happy with my rating. Stroke count of 602.

Winning at rowing life! ;-)

You've put down a good 2k marker there Nellers, with a nice confidence boosting final 500! Are you going to do regular 2k tests in the build up to BRIC? (If there is a virtual BRIC).
Congrats on the 30 min on too! 💪

Thanks Craggy. Yes the plan is to do 2k tests every couple of weeks to check progress and practice pacing etc. My plan through to theoretical BRIC is all logged on here and should be public I think if you wanted to have a look. I'd be interested in any thoughts or advice.

Did an Anaerobic Threshold session tonight: 4 x 4 minutes @ r26. Coped with it pretty well I think. In fact I thin 4 minutes is probably a bit short for that sort of thing. UT1 on the plan for the morning (3 x 12 minutes @ r20 on the plan but it might actually be 3 x 10).

Thanks Nellers, I can't seem to find your plan is it via your profile?

Nice threshold session, you're getting in a good range of stroke rates!

I just checked. I have to make the plan accessible to you so I've just buddied you and opened it. I think you go to your own plan and at the top there's a drop down to switch to any other plan. I should be on that list now.

Nearly binned off the session this morning. Had calf cramp in the night and it was still sore when I got up. Stuck with it, though, and by the time I'd warmed up a bit it was a lot more comfortable. 3 x 10 minutes @ r20 ticked off.
