I make it up as I go along, working with a visual representation of balance and progression. Sometimes I don't know what session I'm going to do until after I've done it.

I used to follow plans in my callow youth but now I've given up chasing PBs, I tend to favour a rule of thumb. 3 quality sessions a week including a LSR, a bit of speed and a non-comfort zone effort. The rest is gravy.. 12 miles, working up to marathon pace. The non-confort was sponsored by a monsoon-like downpour for the most part. |
