Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Last run aged 68.

9.30pm Mild, a light breeze, tide well out, so along the edge of the ridged sand to The Serpentine. U-turned, trails past the baths, a stretch of prom, then a beach mile back to base.

Now I'm officially in my 70th year, I can start to justify slightly more 'leisurely' times! :)

62 min.

First run of the day a mainly easy off road fartlek of 3.5 miles. My favorite type of run - fast when I felt like going faster and slow when I wanted to go slower.

Thank-you, riggys99 I've just commented on a blog, to the effect that one runs only for one's own satisfaction, and not for approval of anyone else! :)

Quite true have you read Running Free: A Runner’s Journey Back to Nature
by Richard Askwith

goodreads.com

Interesting read about how running changed for him the more years he ran and how he went from wanting (for example) a sub 3hr marathon, to complete a Bob Graham to just running for the sheer enjoyment of it. Not bothering about times the latest gear etc and just running as he wanted

Tiring! After a nightshift but invigorating to be out anyway!

Don’t mind me! Just on a world tour of the forums!
