Warm but not too bad. Not that packed ( Vicky and Bakerloo lines) which helped. Lot of tourists and holiday people but wasn’t rush hour.

I have the front and back doors open to try to create a breeze, but what breeze there is coming in is like I've got the oven door open. Genuinely feels like Spain in August.

Gordon better off closing doors and closing curtains to keep hot air out

Just been out to give Katie a lift, and the car is reporting 39 degrees here in Bedford.

If its hotter outside than inside, don't let hot air in; curtains closed, windows shut. Once you've got hot air inside it's going nowhere!
Same with your cars later on folks - if you've got the luxury of air con, make sure you put the recirculation on too so that the aircon cools the air, then cools the air that has already been cooled, rather than bringing in new hot air from outside and trying to cool that down.

14 degrees and drizzling at Wick. Sunny here, 7 miles inland, and probably 17 degrees... that's plenty warm enough for me thanks.

After 10 days in Portugal with temperatures as high as 45 (and that was over 2500ft up in the hills) the UK (low to mid 30s where I am) just feels comfortably warm and pleasant.

40 degs here. Curtains closed and have cardboard up on the windows where I don't have curtains and blinds. Using an umbrella to go out.
