Here in Edinburgh, we're expecting a high of 29C. Our flat is also relatively cool because we don't get a lot of direct sunlight, just early morning and evening.

We have the blinds closed in the living room, with a small fan on and it is a very pleasant temperature - by far the coolest room in the house. Outside it's 35.6ºc in the shade and 26.7ºc inside.

That sounds comfortable, GM. Hope you and Stanley are ok! Also Mr GM! Hope he isn't having too much trouble with Covid. Rotten time to get it!

Work was considering advising everyone to WFH this afternoon and tomorrow until I pointed out that most of us would actually have a better quality working environment in the air-con offices than we would find at home. A balmy 19degC in my office at the moment :-)

Same here - 27C in the kitchen (maybe a degree or two cooler in the living room) and 34-35C outside...

Ok I admit it - central London is a furnace and I like the heat. But 100 degrees in old money is er, warm.

We have been out this morning into Whitby before it became too hot. Back at the campsite now and it's cloudy
