Here in Edinburgh, we're expecting a high of 29C. Our flat is also relatively cool because we don't get a lot of direct sunlight, just early morning and evening.

We have the blinds closed in the living room, with a small fan on and it is a very pleasant temperature - by far the coolest room in the house. Outside it's 35.6ºc in the shade and 26.7ºc inside.

Work was considering advising everyone to WFH this afternoon and tomorrow until I pointed out that most of us would actually have a better quality working environment in the air-con offices than we would find at home. A balmy 19degC in my office at the moment
