House warming up a bit. Trying to decide if cooler out or in and if worth opening windows. Think it is. About to go out with dog while we still can

Enjoyed my outdoor sleep last night :-) Just the right amount of blankets to cover the chilly bit at 4-5am.

Sigh
Overnight low indoors was 24 degrees. At 5am I opened all the doors and windows downstairs, and brought the temperature down to 18.7 - it was lovely!

An hour later than you, Sigh but I followed the weather forecaster's tip on BBC news last night: opened all windows & curtains for half an hour, then closed 'em up again. V little breeze in Crosby but it feels to have been worth a go.

We have sun on the back of the house in the morning, and the front in the afternoon. So we can leave drawing the curtains until the sun moves around.

Anyone invested in air conditioning unit, some are very expensive. We have a family room that gets very hot when sun shines, we just open windows but outside temp may get too high

Are external shutters an option? Quite a bit more effective than closing a curtain or blinds.
