I still love my Fenix 7X SS. :)
Shall be fun when the new metrics and updates comes to Fenix soon as well.

The FR255 actually seems worth the upgrade from the 245 which I didn't expect.

Will be staying with my FR935 until it starts to give problems.

My thoughts, too. Although I may go for the 955 this time.

They both look like great watches, the GPS upgrade is super tempting. It is my birthday today so I deserve a self-bought present, right?

Get in. Then I'll feel less guilty when I give myself a half-birthday present a bit later in the year :)

I'm a bit torn now. Almost talked myself into a 7x dual-band - stupidly expensive but it'll see a load of use, and it's not like I have a fancy road bike. But a 955 would do an awful lot of what the 7x does. Screen is smaller and battery life in dual-band mode might not hack it for some of my longer outings, though.

I've caved (as if I wouldn’t). Remember Badger, on longer outings you can always run with single band GPS.

I hadn’t forgotten that, it’s just that my longer days out tend to be in the kind of hills and gorges where dual band is likely to be more useful!

The improved GPS accuracy technology as I recall it was announced something like five years ago, every so often I would wonder what became of it

Fitz
My 245 has suffered some kind of brainfart today. Went for a run as normal, synced to GC on my return.

GC is showing the run as a “Move IQ” event that it has detected from familiar patterns. The event will not show up in my activities list, snapshots or news feed.

I assume that is why it is not appearing in my list of running activities in GC and not syncing to Fetch.

Whadididowrong? I just started the watch as normal.
