Hmm, not working for me.

I wonder if it's the RideLondon effect? I recall strava being a bit on and off over that day a couple of years ago.

I'd bet there is more load on strava from the GNR than Ride London, and that neither of them match the 9:30am post parkrun load.

True but on the other hand the ride London will be about 10-50 times more data per upload

There's also a new 255 which has quite a lot more features than the 245 - is now a full on multisport watch and has dual band GPS for greater accuracy, and Garmin Pay.
DCR written review on it's way but his video is up on YT

I'm a bit confused now as to the differences between the 955 and Fenix7, they seem to have sort of merged.

Is the 955 just an F7 in a plastic case ?

I suppose there's the 2 size options for the F7 which you don't get with the 955. Any other significant differences ?

I think that's pretty close to the truth, yes. The 945 was pretty much a Fenix 6 in a plastic case, with a handful of software differences. Build quality plus the variations in size - for both 6 and 7 it's three sizes, with different sized screens and different battery capacity being the key differences. There's also the preposterous torch on the 7x I guess.
The weird thing for me is how dual-frequency was a top-of-the-range extra on the 7 series a couple of months ago, and now it's standard on the FR 255 at half the price of a basic Fenix 7 which doesn't have dual-frequency. Almost everyone who's bought an F7 or an Epix is going to be annoyed about that.
