Doesn't the 305 align itself with Stonehenge, then use a network of ley lines?

I was still using my 310xt till I upgraded less than a year ago. Takes an age to acquire satellites.

I think the problem with your 310 is probably to do with daylight saving time. When they moved the stones forward an hour at Stonehenge you probably had to re-align your watch by moving widdershins around the Eye Stone. Should be okay once we drop back to GMT in October.

Eawoman45, my 305 syncs (via USB) to garmin express. It took about 5 minutes to find satellites but I think that might have been normal back in 2006 when I bought it.
I took it for an hour run and the battery was 50% when I finished. I tried to give it away to low income or runners in need at my club but no takers. I think most would just use their phone these days before stepping up to a dedicated device.
FWIW, it seemed to track more accurately than my 245. I've only tested it once because of the time to get GPS and it being quite uncomfortable.
