Oh - thats a great tip. I have the 245 and use KMs so autolap was a bit annoying when running 1 or 2 Mile intervals. To be fair, Garmin logged the planned workout correctly but 3rd party apps don't.

I'll try to remember to check it out (currently on the injury bench)

I've been toying with replacing my 230 for a while now and wonder which one to get. I'd quite like to get my cycling as miles instead of 5 mile blocks, does the 245 allow that?

Does the 230 not do that as well ? I thought you could adjust the autolap distance by increments of 0.05 ( of a mile or km depending on what units you choose ), the default distance that the Cycling Activity profile is set to is indeed 5 miles, but should be configurable I think.

I don't know. My cycling used to log as miles then some time ago (years) it changed to 5 miles and I couldn't see a way to change it.

I was half considering a 745 (?) so I could use it for skiing too but these Garmins are so bulky I'd never be able to access it under my jacket.

I know there have been many questions about swimming accuracy. I set the pool length correctly on my Vìvoactive, but the distance recorded is garbage. I'm guessing the accelerometer can't cope with geriatric doggy paddle or back sculling (I'm disabled)...

I believe the later Garmins have upgraded swimming accuracy from about the time the Swim2 was released. I have no practical experience of this as I’m not a real swimmer but I read it on the Garmin forums I think.

This may have been covered before so apologies if it's already been answered.

My Garmin 735 has various activities e.g Swim, Run, Bike, Walking, Hike etc
When I upload a 'Hike' via Garmin Express, it displays as Hiking in Garmin Connect, but as Walking when it reaches here.
If I upload 'Walking', it displays as Walking in GC, but Cross-Training on here.

Is there a setting somewhere which can make them appear here the same way that they are recorded on the watch? Do I change something on the watch, in GE, in GC or on here?

Thanks in anticipation
