I said on the other day that there were some helpful comments for older devices that use ANT sticks on DC's post. A comment by TMJ (currently #89) has a detailed process for getting the data.

Yeah, easy enough to delete the duplicate activities, but the duplicates will generate extra Conquercise hits etc, which deleting the activity doesn't undo, and can't be manually undone.

So if everyone is manually loading up their runs/cycles there's going to be lots of unearned hits.......

If anyone else hast the problem that the GPS doesn't work anymore and distance is always zero:
delete all old .Fit and sleep-files manually from the watch (via PC), then it works again.
At least with my vivoactive 3 it worked.

Had exactly the same issues 3 times on my Forerunner 245 yesterday and again today, just tried your fix: backed up the storage first, then deleted all of April's .FIT files in the Activity folder and in the Sleep folder.
Now gets a lock after a few seconds, records distance again and saves / discards immediately.

I’ve just checked and my Vivoactive only stores 10 activities. I’m going to have to log activities on the orange site as I’m doing a virtual 100k this month and the miles won’t register from the Fetch app 😢

I'll just wait for Garmin to fix itself and presumably the auto import will then transfer it over.

Rosehip, you should be able to download the session from train as one and then copy it to your garmin workouts folder.

To anyone getting the 0 miles and saving bug... have you seen your battery % go down quickly and then stay on 1% for ages?

Was ok to use a cable and work around the garmin connect issues (these things happen) but a bit annoyed it’s hit my watch functionality now.

yes Westmoors, that's what I did - was just wondering if there was another way of creating workouts for Garmins without having to use Garmin connect - I'm sure there is, maybe on Training Peaks or the other one whose name escapes at the moment

Mr. K.
I wish Garmin would hurry up as I`ll soon forget what shoes I wore on what run...

Yes, exactly, Mr K. I have had to cut down to just two pairs, one trails one road, so I can remember. This morning I gave in and booted up an old Windows Vista machine just so I could pull my runs off. Having been surviving on ios for a few years.
