Pictorial proof of left handed guitar playing by me. Right handed bass player on my left (right of picture, I think!) proves pic is not just flipped.

I'm absurdly left-handed - my right arm is just for leaning on.Compounded by the fact that I snapped my right arm when I was 10 and it set at a funny angle.

(Annoyingly, that means I can't play guitar left-handedly, as I can't get my right arm around the fretboard).

But isn’t your right hand in that picture doing much more complex stuff then the left, Sharkie? (Would you like me to stop pursuing you around the website asking inane questions? :-) )

I tried right handed (on an acoustic) for ages, Maz. Bizarrely I reckon my left is just more rhythmic, it seemed so much more natural to strum and pick with that hand. It's only shapes with the right after all.

Have just realised my avatar demonstrates my left handed javelin technique.

Hmm. Maybe that’s why I’m not very good at the guitar. It’s not lack of practice after all.

Another mixed person here. My mum says when I first started to show left handed dominance as a baby, picking up toys etc, my nan used to move them to right hand to try to train me out of it!
So now, I write with my left hand, and was left dominant both boxing and kicking when I used to kick box. Everything else, am right handed. Bass guitar (only learnt briefly though), computer mouse, knitting etc.
When I first learnt to use scissors and tin openers as a child, I tried to use them left handed, but soon adapted as there were little other options back then.
I quite like being a lefty, only issue is the smudge factor when writing with a fountain pen!

I'm right handed but when gardening I'm more comfortable using a shovel left handed. Not sure why, I think I just didn't realise I was doing it "wrong".
Doesn't help my balance that I'm right handed and left footed.

Proud lefty living in a right handed world.

My old boss didn't believe it was a thing until I gave him a pair of left handed scissors!

Both parents right handed, my brother is ambidextrous.

I am very aware that everything I do looks awkward.

I write with my paper turned 90 degrees. But I can also write backwards and do mirror writing with ease.

Funnily enough, I used to own a horse and she was left dominant too, going clockwise around the school was a nightmare!!
