Good evening all! Hope Sunday goes well, @roberton, and Friday @LindsD I've found out today I did get a ballot place in the Brass Monkey Half in January. So I've paid... Now need to do some decent training again! |

Good luck for Friday @LindsD hope your mojo returns in good time. Also good luck for Sunday @roberton It’s a good course for it so 🤞 I meant to enter the metric this year but was disorganised and missed the boat. Maybe next year. I have done little running since last Tuesday, but what I did do was my maiden attempt at a fell race. I’ve been meaning to do this particular race for years & I really have no excuse as the start is less than 4 miles from my front door. Finally manage to get it done on Saturday and really enjoyed it. There may have to be more fell running in future. Then, in a fit of enthusiasm I have entered the Oswestry 10k on 13th October. I may be racing more than I train at this rate |

Evening/morning all...it's still Tuesday here at the mo. Running has been really good here and we've been lucky with the weather, aside from an unscheduled indian summer/heatwave for the first two weeks. |

Regarding London Marathon club place(s)... It looks like they've only partially updated the page that they posted last year: tcslondonmarathon.com the headline has changed to say 2025, but the content is still referring to 2024 places. It would not surprise me if they adjusted the boundaries again - and not in a favourable way. For future reference, this is what the page is currently saying: Clubs with fewer than 10 first-claim members no longer qualify for a guaranteed entry in the TCS London Marathon Clubs with between 10-39 affiliated members (currently 456 clubs) will be placed in a ballot that will allocate 228 entries, meaning that at least half the clubs will be allocated one entry each Clubs with between 40-189 members will be allocated one guaranteed entry each Clubs with more than 190 members will be allocated two guaranteed entries each I'm pretty sure that we are comfortably in the middle of the 40-189 bracket, but the EA site for club management is down at the moment. VLM (or whatever) also say: Clubs will be emailed by the end of November when club registrations open with either their allocation of places, or for clubs with 10-39 affiliated members, their ballot result. |
