Excellent. I know he's spent years jogging around that area getting the mapping 'just so'.

Belated thanks to Old Croc and his team for a warm welcome at the 300th Elgin parkrun. I got the impression there were more orienteers than locals! Also looks like the orienteers dominated the top 20 positions. Nice to meet other O Fetchies.

Hiya Shortcut - I was a bit gobsmacked when shouted out for visitors / first timers brief and over 80 people walked over!
Sorry didn't get a longer chat to you and the other orienteering fetchies - the joys of being RD!

Afraid not. Still injured.

Have been arguing with people about this bof levy proposal instead.

Some people have some strange ideas about what it means.

I've already voted for it by proxy

Anyone got any advice for a near complete novice for this weekend?

If I don't utterly fail, I might try one or both of those Durham events!!

Fragile Do Not Bend
I’d say try not to feel under pressure to do it in a certain amount of time, take your time to pay lots of attention to the map and your surroundings.
