Used to do alot (up to 60 events a year) but now don't. Still do mountain marathons and long 'O' though!

Hmmm... waits to see when Flying Finn sees this - though don't talk to him about orienteering today, he had a terrible run (by his stndards) today in Hathersage. I walked an O course last year, great fun. Some clubs do "come and try it" days.

Yep, that's the stuff - was out this mornin gwith Grampian O's, green course on the dunes - tough running and navigation on that kind of terrain.
I've done a couple of MM's, but this was only my 3rd true 'O' course, still can't get my head round either the different scales or the change in colours from 'proper' OS maps!
