Whilst rummaging in freezer … chicken from 2021. It’s not just the rooms that need sorting!

2021? That's nothing.

We threw away some ribs last week that went out of date in 2019. I figured if we hadn't eaten them by now...

I often look at things that have been in my freezer for a while, consider eating it and realise I don't actually fancy it I just need to use it... then it makes me wonder - why did I buy it in the first place?!

Just done a charity shop drop off, my gorgeous green evening gown was never going to be worn by me again so someone else should enjoy it, also took some nice jackets, and between us we have filled a charity bag for collection this week. Moving house certainly encourages decluttering :-)

How do people deal (I mean psychologically) with stuff you haven't really used to its full potential (e.g. worn only a few times), but which cost more than you might care to admit, even if it was in a sale?

I'd just get rid of it, I wouldn't make myself wear/use something that I don't like/love that much. Pass on to someone else or donate to charity.

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
