Try Olio TeeBee - much better than Freecycle for giving stuff away, in my experience.

Similar to GG, I had to move a chest from the spare room to the landing and had to empty it beforehand, with a view to being conscious of anything 'lurking'. The chest is mostly walking and golfing gear (waterproofs, rucksacks, golf shoes etc.) so still in regular use. Plus some lesser-used stuff like a dry-robes, beach blanket and bags we use when we do our annual charity skinny-dip ;) But lurking in the bottom I found some 'posh' shoes I bought for a mayor's dinner we attended to go with my hired dinner suit. Lo and behold, when I tried them on they didn't fit, not even at a squeeze. So they are destined for the charity collection point.

To say we got rid of a load of crap when we moved house, 1 year and 4 months ago, we still have a lot of crap.

I’ve been decluttering in my garage. I now have a boot full of stuff for the tip and some spaces for my partner to put stuff on when he fully moves in.

I’ve put a bike on Facebook to sell, and still have several boxes to sort through, mostly books

I found a whole box full of glasses and mugs, which were nicely wrapped by the removal men when I moved house, in 2017 😬
I’ve rescued a few and sent the rest to charity

May have mentioned this before, but there was 'stuff' cluttering up my sauna in the garage. A variety of children's books and toys, which the granddaughters have grown out of. I recently cleared some garage shelves and the 'stuff' is now on them. I just need to persuade Mrs WM to go through the toys and books to decide what she wants to do with them.

It may now be empty of stuff, but not had a chance to use my sauna yet 😉

Quick question about Vinted (I still haven’t put anything on)

When I read the info on the app a while back it said you had to send stuff out in boxes. I thought this was a bit OTT for clothes. Do you use boxes or just bags? Thanks

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
