Ok Merrymoo it could be a whole different ballgame this time of year but we wouldn’t go back. It was an idyllic setting but spoiled by too many people! Called Rushbanks and it’s on the River Stour.

Starting to persuade Husband that paying for campsites with hook up and full facilities is not necssary

Can thoroughly recommend Stump Cross Caverns for an overnighter (at least) £5 to park in their carpark behind a gate.

No facilities overnight but cracking views :)

Still have some sites booked, but hopefully they’ll get less use as he gets more confidence in the battery and gas capabilities we have

We stopped at a hotel/bar at the weekend that advertised on its website that small vans could park up overnight for £5. When we went to check in they wanted £20….to park in their car park. We parked along the road, ate dinner there and used their loo for free. They didn’t have a single van customers that night (Good Friday).

We had a lovely Easter break in Fife, an area that I'd not previously explored.
I can highly recommend Forth House campsite. It is 20 minutes from St Andrews and also close to some charming little villages on the coast. The elevated position gave amazing views over the Firth of Forth.
